The mundane are the everyday human, those who have no magics, no powers; there is nothing at all special about them regarding other species. While there are some that are aware of the magic in their world – the Preternaturally Aware – there are so many more who are not (the Unaware or Oblivious).

Preternaturally aware humans know that the world of magic, vampires, and shifters exist and they can sometimes be found mingling amongst those beings or doing their best to avoid them. Vampires commonly use these people as their day servants or to feed from.

The Oblivious are exactly that: they have no idea of the creatures around them. Some may believe in ghosts and magic, but they have never see anything to let them know how right they are.
