OOC Account
    Welcome! When you first join us here at Blood-Ties, you will need to sign up with your Out of Character Account. This should be your preferred Interent handle as a username, and a strong password to protect your account. You will need to enter a valid email address so that you can verify your account, and restore your password if you forget it.

Character Account
    To create a Character Account, you will want to go to your UCP (User Control Pannel). This is located under the 'Account' drop down. You will then want to scroll down to 'Miscellaneous', and select the option to 'Register New Character'. Insert your Character's chosen name, using proper punctuation, and a password. Click 'Complete'. You will now be able to use the 'Characters' dropdown to swap between accounts.

    Your first time logging in as your character you will need to accept the site ToS, before you can continue. Once that is done, you want to go to the UCP and scroll to Miscellaneous once more. This time, you need to click 'Group Memberships'. Here you can join the appropriate group for your character, and set it as the Display Group - this will both stylise your character's name, as well as make the appropriate profile fields appear in their profile.

Profile Creation
    Now you can click 'Edit Profile'. This is both at the top of the menu in the UCP, as well as a quick link under the 'Account' dropdown. You will want to fill in as much detail as you can. You can use basic BBC and @tags in the profile.

    Once you are happy with your Character's profile, you will want to go back to the Group Memberships page, and select the 'Approved Character' group. This will ping the Team that your character is ready for review. They will do so, and approve your character for RP. If there are any issues, you will be contacted via DM on Discord, or PM on site.

    You can now begin to RP! If you don't already have plots planned, you can throw up an open thread and see who takes the bait. Sometimes there are events active that you can take part in and help with ideas for topics to write about. If you need any help getting started, just hit up the group in Discord or post a topic in the Plotting board.
