Again, Nocturne only replied with a lopsided cheeky grin as his companion demanded to know why he wasn’t normal. Didn’t most people like to think they meandered to the beat of a different drummer? He knew he did with a lot of his hobbies going against what people had decided his image was. But he was also rather unique in being a magical dud; not that he was about to talk about that aspect of his life. He was content to let the man think what he wanted. The less that he knew, the better.
Nocturne laughed at the next question and gave his head a little shake. “You would be surprised,” demanding intentions was probably one of the tamer things he had done recently in a bar considering he demanded a baby vampire take him to the upstairs sex lounge the last time he set foot inside a club. Again, probably something that was better left unsaid.
At the mention of the bourbon and it suddenly being filled, Nocturne eyed the bottle and noted it was of a higher standard. He still hadn't become a connoisseur over the last few weeks but knew enough to judge the man's drink of choice as quality and that his companion wasn't one to sip and savour.
"I feel like any quiet place that served good bourbon might kick you out for the way you toss it back like a shot of gold schlager," or beer, as Noct took a long drink from his, leaving about a quarter behind. Usually he would nurse his beer, preferring to only have one or two drinks for an entire night out but sometimes a quick drink and leaving his hands free for any given reason happened instead.
Actually, the more he focused on that urge to be kept unhindered, the more Nocturne felt it was on the listen to and to keep his wits sharp. He casually set his glass on the bar, deciding he didn't need more alcohol right then. One glass wasn't going to do much to him but he was getting the feeling that perhaps he really needed to stop wandering into clubs he had no business being in and to stop talking to men that he couldn't quite place. But other than setting down his drink, he did his best not to seem like anything had changed.
"We've established my oddity of demanding intentions of strangers in bars now what's your story for humouring me for so long?"
