Underneath it all, there remains a pool of tension - will a debutante prove successful, garnering suitors and The Proposal that is the culmination of a Season? Who will be named an Incomparable, a Diamond of the First Water, and thus the most desirable young lady of the Ton? With so many eyes on her, will she bear up under the pressure to be the One? Who will ensnare the elusive beauties of this year's debutantes?

What begins as a simple, single dance can lead to so much more... Love and hate, welcome encounters and the cut direct, dancing and wallflowers, flirtations and secret assignations, gossip and scandal, stolen kisses and more await those who have the courage to face the Season and all it contains.
