Of Yore ✦ 21+ original fantasy - Guest - 2025-Dec-04 Of Yore Homepage — Our Guidebook — Connect On Discord — Request Affiliation ᴀʙᴏᴜᴛ Of Yore Of Yore (OY) are a writing roleplay community for adults that focuses on a fictional high-fantasy world with a variety of influences that includes the option for non-human characters from more than 10 standard-to-play Ancestries (aka creature types) in our setting, and for characters to have the ability to harness Invocations (aka magic). Face Claims/Play-Bys are entirely optional and we allow real-life celebrities, popular culture/video game/anime or manga-based images. However, if you would like your character to have no reference image at all or only be Aesthetic Art for their avatars/icons, that is completely fine too. We're all about collaborative storytelling and character development, exploring plots, having fun, and forming genuine friendships. Sometimes our stories are comedic, sometimes they're serious, but we believe anyone can make a story worth remembering. Even as adults that are balancing hobby writing, the demands of adulting, and personal commitments, so our activity requirements are very relaxed. There are no word counts, and over time create however many characters you can personally keep active because everyone's life and downtime is different.
